Newsletter February 2026

The global economy is slowly awakening, much like an early spring morning — brighter skies ahead, yet the wool socks are still needed. Interest rates and inflation have declined, providing momentum for new investments. However, the long-awaited surge in demand seems to take its time. Both the infrastructure construction sector and forest machine manufacturing are showing promising signs, but a broader turnaround is still being awaited with moderate expectations.

At Jame-Shaft, day-to-day operations run steadily. In recent years, our investments in automation and unmanned production are now showing concrete results. Even though the overall market is not running at full capacity, we at Jame have reached a record level turnover. During the calendar year 2025, we exceeded an annual turnover of €30 million for the first time. Alongside economic conditions, last year’s operating environment was colored by domestic disruptions as well as geopolitical tremors. Despite these challenges, we succeeded in raising our turnover to the highest level in our history. We will soon transition to a new ERP system. A detailed schedule will follow in a separate notice.

Steel availability is currently on a fairly good level, but preliminary signs of price increases have begun to emerge.

Regarding the development of our factory, we continue on our chosen path. Investments are made with careful consideration, yet with clear determination. Our goal is to stay one step ahead when demand begins to accelerate. Our level of automation will continue to rise, and our capacity will increase again this year: We have invested in two new multifunction lathes, the first arrived at our factory in week 7, and the next machine will be delivered in August.

A big thank you for your cooperation! We kindly request as early visibility into orders and forecasts as possible, it is truly valuable for the entire supply chain. At Jame-Shaft, we are ready when the demand finally gains momentum. And as always, we will do our best to ensure that quality, delivery reliability, and collaboration remain at the level you have come to expect from us.

We wish all our customers a successful start to the year 2026.

Best regards,

Mika Tuunainen
